<h3>Building a Smart City Infrastructure</h3>Mayor Davis-Younger envisions transforming Manassas into a smart city, using cutting-edge technology to improve the quality of life and make government services more efficient. Her focus would be to work with the council on:<ul><li>Expanding Public Wi-Fi: Offering free public Wi-Fi in key areas across the city to support residents and businesses and encourage digital literacy.</li><li>Digital Government Services: Making city services even more accessible by digitizing more to enhance conducting city business online.</li><li>IoT-Driven Services: Using the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance the management of city assets, including energy-efficient streetlights, smart waste management, and improved emergency response systems.</li></ul><h3>2. Investing in Tech-Based Economic Development</h3><ul><li>Supporting Small Businesses: Introducing programs that provide small business owners with digital tools and platforms to modernize their operations, helping them compete in the digital economy.</li><li>Incentives for Tech Investment: Offering incentives for businesses that bring innovative technology solutions to the city or establish operations in Manassas, fostering a tech-friendly environment.</li></ul>
